DVI CONSULTANTS, INC. (Formally Known As Domestic Violence Interventions Of Fl., Inc.) WAS INCORPORATED IN 1997 TO PROVIDE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WITH EDUCATIONAL AWARENESS, ADVOCACY AND REFERRALS TO UNDERSERVED VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, CHURCHES AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AFTER RECEIVING GRANT FUNDING FROM THE FLORIDA STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN GRANT PROGRAM (VAWA).
DVI Consultants, Inc. continues to provide services such as personal advocacy, training, information and criminal justice advocacy and referrals to all victims of domestic violence, but has expanded its services to target students on colleges and universities campuses across the nation who may find themselves involved in unhealthy relationships.
Through partnerships with key consultants, DVI Consultants, Inc. also provides sexual assault awareness and cultural diversity training / educational awareness training and empowerment workshops to college and university students, faculty and staff. We also provide information on Title IX Compliance, the Clery Act and the VAWA amendments and preparing for the Clery Act Review.
Director Craig A. Nance, Director for the Office of Professional Accountability for the University of Chicago Department of Safety and Security is one of our key consultants. Mr. Nance has previously worked for the Clery Center for Security on Campus as a trainer / consultant assisting with the development and delivery of safety, prevention, and Clery Act compliance trainings throughout the United States. He has also facilitated training programs for university staff and university public safety professionals on the Clery Act and the federal compliance requirements.
